Visit of a Student Delegation from Israel

From 3 to 8 May, a student delegation from the Department of International Relations and the European Forum at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem will visit South Tyrol. The group consists of two professors and ten undergraduate and graduate students.

The visit forms part of a university course on “Ethnopolitical Minorities and Regionalism in Europe: The Case of Alto Adige/Südtirol”, using South Tyrol and its autonomy model as a case study. The primary objective of the stay is to promote academic exchange on issues related to autonomy, minority protection, and coexistence in a multilingual region.

The programme includes, among other activities, two days at Eurac Research, as well as a visit to the Ladin valleys. A meeting with the Jewish community in Meran/Merano is also planned. The delegation will also engage in discussions with Eurac Research’s “Middle East Task Force,” which conducts academic research on issues concerning the Middle East.
