The new Autonomy Dashboard South Tyrol has arrived

With the newly launched Autonomy Dashboard South Tyrol, a new tool is now available to strengthen the understanding of the complexity of the autonomy and minority protection of South Tyrol. A wide variety of data has been compiled, visualised and analysed for this purpose. The Center for Autonomy Experience at Eurac Research developed the dashboard to provide a comprehensive and comprehensible presentation of the relevant data for international delegations as well as researchers and experts.

The dashboard allows users to quickly and easily access relevant information and view it in its context. Key figures from four areas are displayed: Demographics, languages and language groups, politics and administration, economy and finance. Researchers and experts can use the data provided to carry out in-depth analyses and gain new insights.

Arno Kompatscher, the President of South Tyrol, emphasises the importance of the new tool: ‘The Autonomy Dashboard is intended to give an impression of how our autonomy works in practice and makes many developments easier to understand.’ According to him, this tool can not only enrich scientific research, but also provide valuable input for political decision-making.

‘The Autonomy Dashboard South Tyrol is not just a technical tool, but a strategic instrument. It enriches research and supports political decision-making processes by putting complex data into an understandable and accessible form. Our aim is to allow people to experience the development of the autonomy and minority protection of South Tyrol in a new and innovative way,’ emphasises Marc Röggla, head of the Center for Autonomy Experience.

The Autonomy Dashboard South Tyrol was published in view of the autonomy day (5 September).
