Next week, together with the Institute for Minority Rights of Eurac Research we will host the IPSA Research Committees Colloquium here in Bolzano/Bozen.
The colloquium, “Minorities Under Siege? Plural Societies Facing Plural Challenges,” runs 23–26 June 2026 at Eurac Research in Bolzano/Bozen, South Tyrol. Organised by IPSA RC14 Politics and Ethnicity it brings together researchers working across language policy, autonomy arrangements, consociational governance, conflict, technology, and democratic inclusion.
Professor Mohammad Shahabuddin will open the colloquium with a keynote address titled “Minorities Under Siege: Postcolonial and Decolonial Perspectives”—a timely intervention as scholars, practitioners, and policymakers gather to examine the evolving pressures facing minority communities around the world.
