New Publication: Women’s, Gender, and Queer History

We are pleased to announce the publication of the edited volume “Frauen-, Geschlechter- und Queer-Geschichte: Internationale Perspektiven und lokale Verortung”, edited by our colleagues Katharina Crepaz and Josef Prackwieser and published by transcript Verlag.

This interdisciplinary collection brings together international perspectives in women’s, gender, and queer history while placing strong emphasis on local and regional contexts. Using South Tyrol as a case study, the volume demonstrates how global debates on gender and sexuality can be meaningfully translated into research grounded in multilingual, minority, and borderland settings.

The contributions bridge theoretical reflection and empirical research, offering methodological insights alongside historically grounded analyses. The book will be of interest to scholars and students in history, gender studies, cultural and social sciences, as well as to all those engaged with questions of diversity and inclusion in research and public history.

We warmly congratulate the editors and all contributing authors on this important achievement!
