New publication: ‘The MIDAS journey: A European story’

Following the recent academic publication of a book chapter on its history, the European Association of Daily Newspapers in Minority and Regional Languages (MIDAS) has now released a compact brochure: ‘The MIDAS journey: A European story’.

Produced by the Center for Autonomy Experience, the brochure offers an overview of the aims and development of MIDAS. Through concise texts and numerous images, it traces key moments in the association’s history. It also includes personal interviews with three key figures who have shaped MIDAS:

  • Bojan Brezigar reflects on the beginnings, from the initial idea to the founding of the association: ‘It all began with the fear of closure’.
  • Toni Ebner, first President of MIDAS, looks back on the early years: ‘MIDAS has an audience of millions’.
  • Edit Slezák, second President of MIDAS, shares her experiences during her time in office: ‘It felt like a wonderland for me’.

The brochure is available for download here.
