Dialogue on Autonomy, Sustainability and Innovation
From June 28 to July 1, 2025, a high-level delegation from the South Korean province of Gangwon visited South Tyrol. The visit focused on autonomy, sustainability, and cableway technology, fostering valuable exchanges between the two regions.
Key moments included a bilateral meeting with Governor Arno Kompatscher, discussions with Eurac Research and provincial representatives, and a public dialogue at Palais Widmann. The program also featured a visit to the Seiser Alm and a tour of the Leitner cable car company.
“South Tyrol’s autonomy continues to inspire interest far beyond Europe,” said Governor Kompatscher.
Marc Röggla, Head of the Center for Autonomy Experience, remarked: “Our experience with autonomy, minority rights and sustainability offers many opportunities for international dialogue.”
